Matariki

On Wednesday  26 June some Henderson North School students went to Corban Art Centre to learn about Matariki
Matariki means seven stars and the Matariki Celebrates the maori new year. Other schools watched the performance with us. We learn how to      play the maori flute the flute is made out of  bamboo. It was interesting to learn about the maori
culture. The maori flute name is koauau.
