  1. Hello there,
It's Grace and Natasha here from MACC.
It looks like you have had a lot of fun at Piha.
We like going on excursions but we don't get to go on them a lot.
    What was the best part?
Do you want to go again?

    1. I thought the swimming at the beach was the best part because it was fun, even though the water was a little cold. I would like to go again because I want to learn more about the beach and water. Mohammad.

    2. The best part was saving each other with the rescue tubes, it was hard work for my partner because I'm way bigger than him. Oh yeah, I definitely want to go again so I can do the rescuing again. - Khayl.

    3. Hiya Grace and Natasha,
Thanks so much for coming to our class blog and commenting on it. You are right, we did have a blast! Why don't you get to go on excursions a lot?
The highlight of my trip was body surfing. It was so fun. You had to wait for a wave, and when the wave touches you, you get off your feet and it lets you glide across the shore. It was epic!!
I definitely want to go again. It was awesome. If you were in New Zealand, would you go?

    1. Hiya Ian,
In the last picture, we were helping our classmate get of the IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat).
I think that our favorite part was the beach games. We played Octopus ( You can see it in the first picture), Sailors, and relays. AWESOME!!

  5. Hey Henderson North School,
It looks like you guys had an amazing time at Piha! Did the lifeguards teach you anything about water safety? Also, did you guys get to go swimming?

    1. Hello Braydon,
What an awesome comment!! Yes we learnt a lot about water and water safety. We learnt about rip currents, feeder currents, and waves. We also learnt about being sunsmart, and about the five rules:
      Slip: Slip on loose clothing
      Slop: Slop on some sunblock
      Slap: Slap on a hat
      Wrap: Wrap on some sunglasses
      Slide: Slide under some shade

We did get to go swimming. We had a blast. We learnt about body surfing and we got to save other people's lives.

  8. Hi, I'm Chloe and I also go to Mount Annan Christian College.

Wow, that looks like fun! What was the most important thing that you learnt? What was the most exciting part of the trip to Piha? Did you get to stay in the water for a long time?

Anyway, this is my classes last week at school and then we will go on a six week holiday for Christmas so this will be one of my last comments. Thanks for making this quad-blogging experience fun and exciting.

    Merry Christmas!
