Border Control - Biosecurity Activity

Our class held a customs check, we all had to take our bags. Mr Walker and Mr Cartwright (Room 3) had put contraband into our bags and our customs officers searched our bags to see what they could find.

America's cup

New Zealand lost the first race by 33 seconds across the line so that means that oracle has won the first race.

New Zealand has won the first race by fifteen seconds and there were four marks and USA and New Zealand went around them.

The second race was delayed because the wind was too strong and New Zealand and USA nearly crashed in to each other that's why.

The two races are delayed today because the wind is too strong in San Francisco so they are going to probably race tomorrow.

New Zealand needs to win two more races, USA has to win seven more races

The first day of show

Yesterday was the first day of the show, some of us were nervous, but I was not.
The show setup is amazing it looked 3d.
The show is about two African tribes ( Wannakeekees and Sotongis ) that hate each other that's why there is a river between them.
Then one day in the Sotongi tribe, a reporter came and planned to build a bridge to get the two tribes together, but both tribes disagreed.
One day the Wannakeekees chiefs wife had a baby boy and it became the Peace Child. They had to give the Peace Child away to the Sotongi tribe to bring peace.

Delicious

Today we had a mouth watering bake sale, there were brownies,cakes,cupcakes,and way more.It was so cool making delicious food. At morning tea everyone came to get some amazing, at the end of the sale I saw that everyone had eaten all my Devine and that they ate everyone's goods. At the end we had made 180 dollars. Also I was so happy because I got player of the year.

America's cup

On Sunday Oracle bet New Zealand because the yacht nearly tipped over but somehow it didn't tip over and the second race they won and Oracle lost by 2.10 and this morning New Zealand lost the first race by 3 seconds.

I was watching Oracle take on New Zealand in yacht racing New Zealand has 5 points and America has 1 point in the big race. America is choosing to pull out of the race because they are afraid that they are going to lose the rest of the races. New Zealand is going to get the trophy made of real silver and America is going to race New Zealand again tomorrow. I bet New Zealand is going to win! I enjoy watching New Zealand beat Oracle and the boats look interesting and I am wonder who is going to win.

Runaway toilet

The runaway toilet is a funny book for children and adults even because its a runaway toilet, what's not funny about that? Room 1 will recommend that book to anyone. Because its funny and it rhymes, it is an awesome book.

Reflections of week 6

Blue Bubblers

                                                      Blue Bubblers


                                                 What you will need:
1 large glass
1 long wooden skewer
Juice of 2 lemons (ripe)
1 litre of sparkling water (fresh)
Caster sugar to taste
Blue food colouring
6 blueberries (ripe)
6 blackberries (ripe)





                                             Method:

1. Squeeze lemons, add the juice to the sparkling water and add sugar until its sweet enough for you.

2. Add enough food colouring so that it is the perfect shade of blue (you won't need a lot).

3. Carefully thread the berries onto the skewer-alterning between the blueberries and the blackberries. The length of your skewer will depend on the height of your glass.

4. Place the skewer into the glass and enjoy your drink!
